WIN-MITRA : Windows Language support for developer & users.There are two type of WINMITRA is available, one is WINMITRA and second is WINMITRA-SDK. The first type of WINMITRA is available for end user. It means to say that if you installed WINMITRA in your system then you can use your regional language in your any window's program. For example if you want to use Gujarati in MS-word then you can use it. This software is now available for two languages Gujarati & Hindi. The second one is WINMITRA-SDK. The WINMITRA SDK is a software development tool for Indian languages on MS Windows. This is a software component that enables software developers to facilitate the use of Indian scripts with MS Windows applications. Unlike other solutions, the significant feature of WINMITRA SDK is that it enables the MS Windows application to process ISCII data directly. ISCII enables alphabetic sorting, transliteration and data exchange and reusability in a uniform manner. The WINMITRA SDK uses ActiveX Technology and provides a seamless, transparent Indian language layer for data entry, storage, retrieval and printing in Indian scripts for MS Windows applications. It is based on COM standards and can be used with any of the latest application development tools providing “OLE container’ support. WINMITRA SDK consists of a set of ActiveX controls and True Type fonts to enable integration with your MS Windows application. Thus you can get more comfortable with WINMITRA.
